Music samples and ticket details

The next concert by the Oratorio choir will be the beautiful and enjoyable Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini in the West Kirk Helensburgh. This piece can best be described as being very "jolly". The choir is supported only by piano (Walter Blair) and Harmonium. This is a choral mass in a very unique style and really will appeal to all musical tastes and is very approachable at a first hearing and really should be written into diaries around the West coast of Scotland. It proves that Rossini did write music other than the Barber of Seville and the William Tell Overture!
